Showing 12 reviewsThis product is definitely on the more expensive side compared to a lot of other off the shelf shampoos/ conditioners.... BUT I do believe it's a great investment. It smells incredible & has really improved the texture and shine of my hair. I learnt recently that a lot of hair products contain sulphates which strip the hair of its natural oils, so I love that Pureology is sulphate free! If you are looking into treating yourself or investing into that next level of hair care I would highly recommend Pureology products! - my top tip is to keep an eye out for when they go on a deal or sale ;)
I ordered the travel size of the Gold shampoo and conditioner to see if I could salvage my hair after a summer of coloring, swimming, sun and general neglect and it worked so well. I honestly always use a homemade shampoo bar that is wonderful but something in this? Gave my fine, dehydrated 3b curls a thickness and sheen that was immediate. My hair looks and feels so much healthier. Was hoping (at this price) to feel more meh but alas, I'm sold.
I have only used the Nanoworks shampoo twice since purchasing. I already had the conditioner. It lathers well and has a pleasant fragrance. It left my mature dry hair (which can be on the brittle side) looking healthy and easy to comb after use. I do like the Pureology brand of shampoos and conditioners.
I wanna give this 5 stars. I really, really do. My hair is so soft, silky, and shiny after using the shampoo and conditioner, but WHY does it smell loke that? My husband said my hair smelled like eggs :( It goes away after a few hours and the results are worth it, i just wash my hair at night. But it stinks
Pureology is one of those brands that has a cult following and, to top it off, have one of the most expensive prices when it comes to haircare products. This one in particular is one of their most expensive set available and was ecstatic to receive this from Influenster for testing review; especially to see if it is worth the hype price. I tried this product for 3 weeks and used it about 3-4 times each week; making a total of about 11-12 times that I've used the product. My first reaction with the product was with the scent. While the Shampoo had a more sweet fragrance with only a slight subtle warm undertone, the Conditioner had a much stronger warm amber fragrance to it. I would have preferred for the Conditioner to keep the same fragrance as the Shampoo but in this case, they made it a little bit too much of a warm, dark, fragrance for me. If you ever had a specific Jessica Simpson perfume before that smelled like vanilla caramel but had that dark, warm, amber tone to it, its more like that type of fragrance; good but not that great. However, the fragrance wasn't too off putting to keep me from still enjoying the product. The consistency, just like the shampoo, is very thick and creamy. As I ran the product through my ends, I could feel how moisturized my strands were becoming, and also felt any tangles which were starting in the shower had immediately disappeared as I pushed the product through my strands. On removal of the product, it was easy to rinse and I felt as though my ends were more hydrated and nourished. As I continued using the product, I did enjoy the way my hair felt each time I got out of the shower. I let my hair air dry at night and felt that when I woke up in the morning, I had less frizz and had more touchable, manageable hair after using it. Overall, I would say this product is definitely worth the hype it receives. However, the price is definitely an issue as I feel they are definitely overcharging for this product. It didn't work miracles on the hair or anything to deserve having the price it does. Thus, marking it off by one star just because of the price. Other than that, I would absolutely recommend anyone to try this product out if they get the chance to.
So excited to have the opportunity to try this for free through Influenster! Because I have curly hair, which is ever temperamental, I wanted to try it out several times before reviewing it. I have used it about 5 times now. I love the understated luxury of this shampoo and conditioner. The signature scent is softly pleasant and not too strong like the shampoo. The conditioner feels nicely creamy and spread easily throughout my longish hair. It made an easy job of detangling my curls which is a must! I felt like the conditioner did a good job nourishing my hair. It rinsed out easily leaving a smooth feel to my curls. Out of the shower, I found my hair played nice with whichever styling products I opted to experiment with that day. I have dark brown, 3 A/B, fine, low porosity, low density curls and I cannot forgo, at minimum, a leave-in conditioner after washing or else my hair appears frizzy and dry. That said, my hair felt soft and looked shiny after it dried. The notable thing for me about this Pureology Nano shampoo and conditioner combo is that after it dried my hair felt soft but was also fluffy. So it left my hair moisturized yet not weighed down. Since I have dry but fine, thinnish hair that requires a delicate balance. The only con imho is the price, which is steep for shampoo and conditioner. That said, if you can afford to splurge this duo are definitely a hidden hero!
I have to admit that my hair is pretty damaged. I haven’t been to a hair salon since before the pandemic began and I still havent made the time to see my stylist even now. A few weeks ago, I finally got sick of staring at the grey hairs on the top of my head and decided to give myself an at home dye job with a drugstore box dye which helped make my damaged dull lifeless hair look a little better by adding shine and color to it and disguising some of the damage. I’ve been using the Pureology Nanoworks Gold Shampoo and conditioner for a couple weeks now and I have to say that it has helped maintain the color and shine to my hair. Usually by now, my color starts fading and my hair isn’t as shiny anymore and it starts looking lifeless again. The shampoo lathers well and I feel like it really gets my scalp clean without over drying it. It also has a delicious almost vanilla sort of smell that is subtle and not overpowering. My only critiques are that I hate the lid. It’s awkward to open and I actually broke a nail trying to get it to pop open. And, it’s a pretty pricey shampoo for the size of the bottle. It’s a nice shampoo if u can afford it.
This is expensive but it's also concentrated so you only need a small amount and it lasts a long time. 1st shampoo: clarifying..either PM or redken 2nd shampoo: nanoworks gold shampoo conditioner: nanoworks gold conditioner & I leave it in for 10-15min then rinse *clarify 1st to remove buildup *when you use the shampoo, apply a small amount in your hands, add a bit of water and emulsify it(aka rub your hands together until it's sudsy), then apply it to your scalp only and let it sit for 5 minutes to work properly *always shampoo twice. You don't need to use a clarifying shampoo every time you wash your hair but it should be used about once a week to get rid of buildup/products and helps the shampoo work effectively *the first shampoo won't get sudsy and foam up but the second shampoo will. This is normal. The first shampoo removed the dirt and oil the second shampoo is actually cleaning your scalp. *use a scalp massage brush when you shampoo to thoroughly clean your hair If you use all my tips then you'll love this product. I've used it for years and prefer it over the hydrate and strength lines. Also prefer this smell and it leaves my hair soft and hydrated. Nothing else compares and it's worth it to have beautiful healthy shiny hair. Now buy it.
I’ve been using a mid-priced conditioner from my salon for a long time that I’ve been happy with overall but when I tried this conditioner, I really loved how soft, smooth and shiny that it left my hair. After the first wash/conditioning combo with both the pureology shampoo and conditioner, my hair was so glossy, it reminded me of the special conditioner that used to (and maybe still does) come with home hair dye kits. I let my hair air dry and it’s been getting frizzy as it dries, this conditioner helped to tame that problem! My hair looked almost like I had been to the salon and had it styled, without fly aways and smooth. The scent is a little strange, and a bit stronger for those who do not like a lot of scent. It’s made without using any animal derived products (vegan), which I really liked. That being said, it had DOUBLE the amount of ingredients/chemicals as my usual conditioner. I’m not sure how I feel about that, some are plant oils but others are chemicals that I’m not sure of. I’d say for the first week or so after I started using the shampoo and condition, my forehead started to break out a bit, maybe from the oils in it?
I was a tried-and-true Kerastase only product buyer for years. Then I moved to another state and had to drive 45 minutes each way to find that level of salon which I did for two years. Eventually I ended up closer to home in a Redken/Pureology salon and felt like I stepped back in time as I used Redken 35 years ago. I was pleasantly surprised to be introduced to this product.....Pureology Nanoworks GOLD and all I can say is WOW!! It makes my hair feel like silk, truly. And the smell is heavenly and beachy. It's worth every penny more. Try it!
I'm not entirely sure why I was chosen to test this product (considering my hair type), but I'm happy to do so anyway; just keep in mind that this shampoo and conditioner isn't ideal for someone with fine and thin hair like mine. I'll be blunt: I didn't like this product. My initial thought was that the smell was unpleasant enough for me to question whether or not I wanted to put it in my hair at all. It begins as lightly floral, but quickly warps into an off-putting chemical odor that honestly made me a little queezy. I did appreciate how well this shampoo lathered, but that's the nicest thing I can say about it. After using both products and then styling my hair as usual with a hot air dryer brush, I was left with extremely greasy, limp and dull hair that somehow managed to feel straw-like and dried out at the same time. Unfortunately, it seems these products were just too heavy for my hair type, but they might work well for someone with thick, coarse, or damaged hair, and a lot of it.
I’ve been using the Pureology Nanoworks Gold Conditioner in conjunction with the Pureology Nanoworks Gold Shampoo for a few weeks now after dying my own hair at home with a drugstore box hair dye around a month or so ago. To my surprise, my hair which hasn’t seen an actual hair salon or hair stylist in over a year (since before the pandemic began) doesn’t actually look as damaged as I know it has to be, thanks to the Pureology Nanoworks Gold Conditioner. The conditioner leaves my hair soft and manageable and shiny, instead of dull and lifeless and frizzy fried looking. The conditioner has a pleasant smell that won’t overpower your sense of smell and leave u feeling nauseous or give you a headache, the downfalls are the cap to open the conditioner is awkward to open u can break a nail trying to get it open. And the conditioner isn’t cheap. I feel it’s price point is pretty high for such a small bottle. But, if u can afford it,,, get it!
