This hair pomade is the best product I've ever used! I have frizzy and wavy hair, and I find it extremely difficult to find products that provide hold all day and keep in my hair in place, especially in rainy and humid weather. This hair pomade does just that. It keeps my hair in place all day, not the slightest movement and it doesn't feel sticky or crusty in my hair. It washes out well, with regular shampoo and also provides a shine that doesn't look greasy. So impressed! Will be repurchasing!

American Crew Pomade offers a medium hold with high shine. It's ideal for short to medium-length hair, providing a sleek, polished look. The water-based formula ensures easy washout without residue. I rate it four starts because it does not seem to hold very well in humid conditions. Because of this, I find myself using a high hold pomade first, and then a little bit of the American Crew High shine to get that wet look. Great product!

Bought this after seeing people use it on Tiktok. Definitely does what it's supposed. It's like a medium hold pomade, I've been using it after curling my hair to bring back definition and shine after brushing the curls out, as well as for all my slick back styles. I love that it brushes out easily and your hair still looks 'natural' as compared to waxy or too shiny like with a gel or a heavier pomade. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the initial scent, but that seems to fade as you work it into your hair and by the time I walk out the door, it's minimal.

Great pomade for almost any hairstyle. I love that it holds really well yet doesn't leave any residue and has a very light and subtle scent. It also doesn't leave too much shine and offers a great value and alternative to the stuff sold at the barber shops and salons!

I decided to try this product when my go to one ran out. This product does a poor job holding my hair style for the entire day. I personally don’t like the smell either or the shine it leaves in my hair. At least the price isn’t bad, yet for the same price you can get much better pomades. I’d highly recommend you buy Redkens Brews Clay Pomade instead of this crap.

Like the product, but received in pathetic condition. Someone took a huge swipe out of it. This is the second time I’ve ordered this product delivered. Both times, product had been violated or used by a rotten person. I’m so upset, returning for refund. I’ll have to find another way to get this product. Walmart should check it before sending in this condition to the customer. Suggest Walmart lock this product up since people put their nasty fingers in it. Disgusting!

The scent of it is light makes your hair smell good almost like nothing. The hold strength is kind of weak but the texture of ur hair is very the weak hold makes it easier to style but you can add more pomade to make it hold better. The shine is alright it kind of makes ur hair look greasy. This pomade is water based so it comes off with just a rinse of water so its washability is very good.

I really love this pomade. First of all, it smells absolutely fantastic, though it is a pretty strong "masculine" scent, so I don't wear perfume when I use it (I wear "feminine perfumes with notes of flowers and fruits); however, a woodsy, musky "masculine" cologne would probably complement this well. Anyway, I use this pomade when I have my hair cut into dramatic layers, in order to really texturize and define the layers, and it works fantastically for that! A really small amount goes quite a long way, so the small 8(?)oz container lasts quite a long time... which is important, considering the --in my opinion-- rather high price of American Crew products, including this one. I do definitely recommend this product for anyone who wants to add some quick texture to their hair.

I bought 4 American crew products at the same time to compare them, the Cream Pomade, the Matte Styling Cream, the Forming Cream, and the Defining Paste. The descriptions on the American Crew website aren't helpful, so I am hoping my description helps. The Cream Pomade dries quickly and dries slightly firm. It does not really hold shape but keeps the frizz down. If you rub your fingers through it, it will still keep the frizz lightly at bay. It holds a bit less than I want, but I can't fault the product for that. It does tend to feel lightly greasy if you don't shower in the morning.

This is a new product for me, where has it been all my life. Forget, the salt spray, the putty, the wax, the gum, throw them away and get this. A light non sticky product that puts your style in place with an amazing shine but not greasy. Star off with a little, I warm it by rubbing my hands together, swirl your hands through your hair and create! You can always add more product if you need to but if you use too much to start with you can't take it away. Love it, Love it, Love it.

Product felt greasy after some time. They recommend for curly hair which I admittedly don't have, but the hold is sub par, my hair falls flat even after using ~2 fingertip amount and lays in a slick pile. I bought this out of desperation and completely regret it. I think it is way overpriced. It is faintly scented but not enough to overcome the medicinal smell it has. Very disappointing at a premium price point. The more I think about this review the angrier I get. Cannot recommend unless you're going for an actual greaser style slicked look.

This item : American Crew Men's Hair Pomade was purchased online at WALMART.com in an order that included 4 different items . The other 3 items were sent to me , and arrived as scheduled . However , this item , American Crew Men's Hair Pomade was supposed to have been included inside the same package as 2 quarts of Pennzoil Platinum motor oil , and it was NOT inside the package with the oil . I have contacted Walmart Customer Service on 2 different occasions , and both times they said that Walmart would refund the price of this item sales tax back to my credit card , but Walmart has not yet refunded that amount for the un-delivered item . I am loosing patience at this point .
