Heavy Hold Pomade 3oz

I have a comb over with thick straight to wavy hair and have a somewhat blue collar job that requires a tight hat to come on and off throughout the day. I first tried this last spring and loved that it made my hair shiny but not greasy and seemed to work through my hair better than most, providing strong hold without turning hair into a crispy mess. I eventually stopped using this because while it does provide a strong hold, it’s very water soluble and affected by sweat; additionally it’s a bit expensive considering a jar lasts around a month when others easily last 2-3 times as long for the same price. I’ve purchased a jar on sale a year later and all still holds true. I expect to finish this while ten+ others sit in my medicine cabinet collecting dust and may buy more. It just works through your hair better than the popular internet brands, even if it doesn’t hold quite as well or last as long.

I really like the American Crew products and have been using pomade on and off for 10 plus years. This heavy hold pomade is more like a gel than a pomade, it leaves the hair really sticky, and is very difficult to wash out. Not impressed,

My husband uses this in a pinch if he runs out of his other products he gets from sephora. This is much more conveniently available because it’s at almost every grocery store and pharmacy. I think it looks heavy in the hair though. It seems a little sticky and the product is noticeable in the hair. I think it somewhat works but it doesn’t look as nice as others.

Bought the 2x pomade 2x shampoo conditioner pack trusting that this ‘strong hold’ pomade would do what is described, it doesn’t, rather leaves hair greasy and floppy with only a mild similarity to the original style, even trimmed my hair to accommodate this further as I have so much of the stuff, (bought 2x packs) still nothing close to reasonable hold, very disappointing

Great hold and "compared" to most others I've tried this has the most neutral aroma, not a perfume scent. Only issue is the stock out and time to deliver. One time I bought from a third party site (with the big Red dot) and the product that came in must have been old product because it was tacky and did not go in clear . Now I'm at the mercy of stock outs and waiting for the AC historically long delivery time.

I love a wide variety of scents and this happens to be one of them that I enjoy a lot, it is a very clean smelling scent that isn't overpowering yet it still outlasts the day and overall improves my mood. I am always changing up my scents to lift my mood but overall this is perfect, the scent is right and lasts a long time. I have gotten many compliments from this ! I couldn't express it enough on just how great this scent is.

i've LOVED American Crew Grooming Cream for a decade or more for creating curls that hold (and shine) in my medium length layered hair but the recent batches are no where as good as the earlier formula?? The most recent has less hold and less shine -- PLEASE return to the original formula as i returned the new products!!

They changed the formula. Definitely not the same heavy hold as before. You turned the best pomade ever into a really bad one. Pretty much no hold at all. Not buying anymore unless they turn back to old formula.

I have thick hair I would use gel in my hair. The gel never really worked. I bought this product thinking it was not going to work. Was I wrong. It's a great product especially for thick hair. The sent is awesome also. Just don't like the greasy feeling it leaves in your hair.

This is the easiest clay i have ever used it has high hold its easy to get onto your hair and it dries quickly. Only downside the the scent, all crew has the same smell but luckily it goes away within an hour or so after the product has completely set.
