I loved this dryer so much from the moment I started using it however, after a month, I developed pain in my left arm because of how heavy it is and because the design is cumbersome when doing a blowout, the barrel is way too fat when you wanna turn it around I kept using it for another six months, hoping the pain would go away, but it didn't. I know it attributed to this blow dryer and I cannot use it anymore. I didn't see anyone else writing about this problem, but I know it was a problem for me. The weight of the dryer is just too much Even though it works very efficiently.

Unlike anything else on the market!

This is unlike any hairdryer I have ever tried. Starting with unboxing: it's beautiful! So sleek and modern. I love the size of it; it's overall compactness yet wider head on it which covers more hair area at a time. This is soo quiet compared to traditional hairdryers! The outer part of the head is infrared light which helps target water molecules and evaporate them, not only speeding up the drying process, but also reducing damage from heat. The Airlight Pro has an app to connect to, which allows you to precisely customize your heat and speed settings. What?! So cool. I used the "sleek" setting to start with and it was perfect for my hair. Compared to my traditional hairdryer, after using the Airlight pro my hair had a dramatic decrease in frizziness, and was SO soft afterwards. It was also much straighter, so much so that I really didn't need to flat iron my hair if I didn't want to! That has never happened before! My hair drying process is soo much faster with this too, huge bonus! It comes with two magnetic attachments- a diffuser and a concentrator. It also comes with an extra long, thick cord, seeing how it's for professional use. The price point is worth what you are getting with this amazing technology. I cannot recommend this hairdryer enough

Love & frustration

I'm a stylist and purchased after seeing this dryer at a hair show in Nashville. People asked if it was all it was cracked up to be and I say "I've been doing hair for 15 years and never loved a blow dryer more" UNTIL ... the magnets fell off the filter (no permanent way to get them to stay) and then it started cracking into pieces. It affects how the blow dryer performs and turns off mid blow dry because of this. Would happily buy a new filter if it was an option & think it would fix it, but jury still out if I'd buy the dryer again because of this technical issue.

Best blow dryer around

L'Oréal Professional AirLight Pro Hair Dryer Augmented With Infrared Light Technology. I was feeling like their was no way this could be a better blow dryer than the one I already own. I can admit I was very wrong. This pro hair dryer is customizable with the app you can download free to your phone. It comes with two different attachments that just magnetize on, making it a smooth switch from one attachment to the other. One is to use for just blowing and styling the other is used for curly hair. I found that the blow dryer made my curls more healthy looking. The blow dryer works quickly to dry your hair making hair washing days less of a chore. The infrared lights that they use help to dry your hair more quickly and naturally for healthier hair. You don't have to download the app to use though if you don't want to the dryer works perfect with or without it. It's also not very heavy so it's easy to maneuver. I would highly recommend this blow dryer.

Faulty cheap blowdryer

Have had to replace twice now. Cool shot button popped off the first time within 3 months of getting it shortly like 4 months after getting the replacement it shut off on me mid blowout and the cord was hot to touch. Had to speak to a supervisor to make a report yet all I get is a im sorry. Sorry doesnt cut it when you invest on something that is supposed to last I haven’t even had it for a year. Once this replacement goes out I’m going to look into a different blowdryer because this is ridiculous

Crap blow dryer

Barely had this dryer 1 year. I have been in in the industry 15+ years. Have had a Dyson for over 5. Was excited to try this and extremely disappointed. The dryer is powerful but from initial price point there is no extra filters given or specific cleaning brush until you start having issues. My dryer over heats 4 times within a 30 min period when doing blow outs on my clients. Not functional and slows me down. I have contacted customer service. They said to send it in and would replace it. They sent back my original dryer in worse condition than I sent it in. It came back sticky and with hair on it. Does not make me feel confident they even did anything to fix it. I called and gave them a second chance and in the meantime have gone back to using my amazing Dyson supersonic dryer because L’Oréal refused to replace or give me another dryer in exchange for this one. I said it was unacceptable what they did. They told me 100% they would replace this time but then they didn’t and sent back my same dryer with extra filters. Absolutely disgusted for a dryer that wasn’t even 1 year old and their customer service is horrendous. Wish I would have never wasted my money.

Airlight Glam

Okayyyy let’s talk about the AirLight Pro Blow Dryer, because WOW. First of all, the AirLight Pro Blow Dryer is not just a blow dryer… it’s basically a backstage glam squad in your hand. The first time I used it, I genuinely checked the mirror twice because HOW was my hair that smooth, that shiny, that bouncy?! And can we talk about innovation? Because L’Oréal Professionnel does not play around. They’re always leading the way in pro beauty, and this dryer is proof. Lightweight? Yes. Powerful? Absolutely. Gentle on hair while still giving that “I just left the salon” finish? 1000%. The airflow is chef’s kiss. It dries fast without turning your hair into a frizz festival. Instead, you get sleek, soft, swishy hair that feels healthy, not crispy. It’s giving main character energy. It’s giving luxury. It’s giving “I woke up like this” (but better). If you love shine, smoothness, and that polished professional finish, this dryer is IT. Honestly, my old blow dryer is officially in retirement.

Not impressed

Start off as a fabulous dryer. I loved it more than my dysons, that I've had in the past. After 9 months of use, I have lost all but one magnet on the main filter. And now it keeps telling me to clean the filter. Even though I clean both of them every four days! Now the handle is heating up and makes it uncomfortable to use. That is when it is working, and not telling me that I need to clean my filter even though I just cleaned it the night before!

Professionals, look somewhere else!

I bought this blow dryer July 31st, 2025 and was so excited about it. Long story short, I don’t feel that it “dries” any faster whatsoever. After about 3 months (October-ish) it started over heating and shutting off to cool down— the handle would get so hot, even with my clients who have finer hair that usually don’t take long to dry. I’ve done all of the troubleshooting and even make sure to clean the filters regularly. I barely get any blow dry time. I bought this because I thought I did enough research and was influenced by other stylists. I would consider getting a different blow dryer: had I known this would cost me so much and give so little, I’d go for a less fancy, less eye catching product. This dryer is over rated. Speaking with other industry friends now, they are having similar issues. Very disappointing!

Almost perfect; needs a comb attachment please!

The dryer is brilliant. It beats the Dyson hands down by a mile for me. I have fine coily strands high density and my hair always feels like straw when I use the Dyson supersonic no matter what treatments I’ve done or styling products I’ve used; no matter how low the heat or air speed. With the air light pro my hair feels soft and like it has retained the moisture from my deep conditioning treatments and styling products. I use it on 130° heat and various speeds. I haven’t even tried working with the app yet and I love it. It’s quieter than the Dyson too. The only reason I don’t give it five stars is because it needs a comb attachment for us Type 3 and 4 curl folks. I am terrible with a paddle brush and really miss the comb attachment that the Dyson has. I keep posting everywhere hoping my little message in a bottle finds the right person:-)

Heavy but sleep design

Gorgeous design for a hair dryer and the magnetic attachments are a nice feature. I do like how you can tell the exact temperature and option to have degrees in F or C makes for a universal product. I appreciate the long cord, but I wish there was a way to bunch it for storage. The hair dryer worked great at drying my hair in a quick amount of time but it felt really heavy. I didn't use the app because that felt too many steps for using a hair dryer. Pricy seems pretty expensive for this type of product.

Returned

I bought this with my own money after seeing all the rave reviews. I think the price is outrageous, but I'm trying to take better care of my hair and thought if this is a life changing hair tool, I guess it's worth it. It's definitely a beautiful haor dryer, looks cool, etc. It's fairly quiet and the attachments are magnetic which I liked, but ultimately I decided to return. If it dried my haor faster than my old hair dryer, I didn't really notice. Despite having detangler and heat protectant in my hair, it felt very dry and frizzy afterward. It also got knotted up really quickly. I don't feel like it fulfills its claim of leaving your hair silky smooth. The results seemed no better than my $20 Conair that I've had for years. I think the price is legitimately insane, especially for such mediocre results so I returned it. Obviously others love it so I guess it depends on the person and their hair, but I don't think this dryer is worth it at all.
